recording

Well, summer's basically over and it's time to get back to work - meaning, hit that Record button. Jamming's been good all along and my skills are getting pretty sick on the drums. At this point on the drums, I'm focusing on some serious double-bass kicks. I've got some very hot beats to let loose on new tracks so the creative process is already well into motion.

I've been sitting on the Sixth Night track for a while now...still gotta drop a rhyme for that too. This summer has really distracted the hell outta' me, but it's all good. It's not like I have to deliver shit for a record company on contract so whatev's...

I bumped into Matt from The View From Floor Thirteen and he's talking about starting a new rock band. He needs a singer and we chatted about it - so it looks like we'll give it a try. I love doing vocals and I've got the equipment so that's at least half of things - the rest being interpersonal and creative circumstances. But I'm stoked to pursue this. Matt also clued me into this free recording program called Audacity. I've already downloaded it and it looks cool. I'll have to give a whirl this week.

Finally, I've been thinking along entrepreneurial lines lately and I'm in the process of designing a business web site that will outline all the professional services I offer: Audio, Consulting, Data, Design and Finance. I have nearly a decade of professional business experience so now I'd like to take the initiative to start my own thing and have my own clients. And the two reasons I mention any of this here is the fact that I'll be offering Audio recording and editing services and also because some of my current site URL's and structure may change as a result of the new site coming. So yeah, lot's going on "behind the scene" so stay tuned.
