double-dip
Yeah, so here it is: two entries in one day. How obnoxious! And yeah, things are kind of quiet right now so I figured I'd take the time to elaborate on recent hap hap happenings.
So, I recently posted an entry about a local gig that I recorded and good things are coming as a result. I've already finished editing, uploading and designing a page to showcase Unoriginal's set from that night. I'm pleased and flattered to say that they really like the finished products. I can also say that it was an absolute pleasure to work with them. We've both expressed an interest in continuing a relationship which also includes playing live together when possible.
Well, now I have to take the time to finish the tracks for the other two bands I recorded that night. It's been tough to have the time & energy to do all this stuff, but I love doing it all. For real. LOVE. I live for and absolutely love music and anything related. And these last two bands are personal friends so I'm really engaged into the whole thing. Moving forward, I will be offering my mobile recording services to bands in the general public anywhere in eastern PA, central/north Jerz and all of NYC. Additionally, I'd like to start an independent record label to promote the heck out of great artists and allow them to control every single aspect of their representation and creativity, unlike the corporations. Although I am truly passionate about music, the industry blows the big one, especially as it relates to the corporations and their bullshit. They fuck over both the artists and the consumers so let me get on my soapbox and say, "100% Independent." Of course, I'm all about the fairness and stuff so my services will be very fairly priced (especially if I'm dealing with friends). This has all been an experiment since I'm new to both digital and live recording so it's nice to have the patience of my friends to get this off the ground...
Alright already, I'm out.
