I really wish I had the time and energy to devote to my site. Things have been slow going lately. I'm telling ya, with a full-time job, a kid to raise, a relationship to conduct along with personal chores and crap, it's so hard to find the resources to do everything I want to.

Last night I programmed a sweet drum rhythm and wrote a bass line to lay on top of it. It was sounding tight, but I didn't bother to record it. Don't ask me why, probably just because of laziness. Also, if I'm not totally impressed with what I do, I have tendency to just write it off and scrap it. Most people tell me I'm a fool for scrapping shit, but whatever. I usually never have a hard time coming up with new ideas. The biggest problem I have is having multiple riffs melt into one song by having good transitions and fills. Transitions and fills kill me!

Well, I don't lose anything by posting ideas and shit. If I post something, then others can provide feedback, which never hurts. Now that I've thought about it, I guess I'll divide my "Sounds" section on the "music" page into "Song", "Rhythm" and "Ideas" sections, or something of that nature.

For Songs, I'll just post full-length finished songs. In the rhythm section, I'll post finished single rhythms or multiple measures of the same music. In the Ideas section, I'll just post random jams, which will sometimes consist of either all three instruments (drums, bass and guitar), or just a single one. Whenever I practice any instrument, I record it. During the recording/jam session, I sometimes come up with decent stuff so it would be appropriate to post that stuff as well. I don't know, I'm thinking that the more content I post the better, as long as I describe the nature of the tracks accurately. This is all really for me, so I guess anything will do - but of course, I welcome any feedback.
